Douglas dogs UK – frequently asked questions
Are these genuine Douglas® dogs?
Yes. Every plush is an authentic Douglas® Cuddle Toy – the established American soft-toy maker – imported and held in UK stock at ESSA UK.
Where can I buy Douglas dogs in the UK?
At ESSA UK. Every Douglas dog ships from within the UK with free delivery and fast dispatch – no US shipping waits and no customs charges.
How quickly will my Douglas dog arrive?
Orders are dispatched the next working day, with free UK delivery on every Douglas dog.
Is a Douglas plush the same as a Douglas dog?
Yes. “Douglas plush” is the general name for Douglas® soft toys; the dogs are the most collected. Every Douglas plush on this page is genuine and held in UK stock.
Are Douglas dogs plushies or stuffed dogs?
Both words fit. A Douglas dog is a realistic stuffed dog – a dog plushie with breed-true markings, weighted paws and soft fur – which is why so many people choose one as their ESSA.
Which Douglas dog is the most realistic?
For breed accuracy we would point to General the German Shepherd (41 cm, Douglas item no. 2058) and Chase the Border Collie (41 cm, item no. 2001): breed-true markings, airbrushed shading and bean-weighted paws. Our realistic plush dog guide lists the most lifelike Douglas dog for each breed and compares Douglas honestly with Hansa, Living Nature, Keel and Faithful Friends.
