Lobo DLux Husky Douglas Dog: A Big, Huggable Sled Dog Companion
Meet Lobo, a genuine Douglas DLux Husky
Lobo is a genuine Douglas® Husky plush from the DLux collection, which is Douglas's premium line of larger, richly detailed companions. He has the look that makes a Husky so striking: a pale grey coat accented with glossy black guard hairs, a white face and chest, and bright blue eyes that seem to be watching the horizon. His nose is soft leatherette, and gentle airbrushing across his face gives him a calm, alert expression rather than a cartoon one.
You can see his photo, his current price and his availability on the Lobo DLux Husky product page.
How big is Lobo?
Lobo measures about 63 cm (25 inches) from nose to tail and weighs about 794 g (28 oz). In ESSA UK terms that makes him an X-Large companion, one of the biggest Douglas dogs we stock. He is a proper armful: big enough to wrap both arms around, yet light enough for a child or an adult to carry from room to room. His paws are floppy and gently weighted, so he settles naturally when he sits on a bed or across your lap. If you are comparing sizes, our ESSA size guide explains every Douglas plush size side by side, so you can picture him at home before you order.
Why Husky fans love him
- A true Husky coat: pale grey faux fur flecked with glossy black guard hairs, with the white mask and chest the breed is known for.
- Those blue eyes: bright and clear, they are the first thing most people notice.
- Built for hugs: a hefty body and floppy, weighted paws make him lovely to hold and easy to pose.
- A finished look: a silky fringe of long fur on his tail and a soft leatherette nose complete the sled dog picture.
A comfort companion for every day
Many of our customers keep a Douglas plush as their ESSA, a comfort companion they name, take on trips or keep close at home. Lobo suits that role well for anyone who likes a larger, weightier plush to hold. His size and his soft faux fur make him reassuring to cuddle at the end of a long day, and he sits happily on a bed or a chair when he is not in your arms. An ESSA is a comfort plush rather than a medical product, and any plush you love can become one. If the idea is new to you, read our guide to what an ESSA is.
Is Lobo a good gift?
For Husky owners and Husky fans, Lobo makes a memorable present. He is recognisably a Husky from across the room, and his X-Large size gives him real presence under a tree or at the end of a bed. He also suits anyone who loves wolves and northern breeds in general, and his wintry grey and white colouring makes him a natural choice for a Christmas or winter birthday gift. Many people like to give him a name straight away, which is half the fun of welcoming a new companion home.
Looking after Lobo
Lobo is surface washable, so gentle surface cleaning with a damp cloth is all he needs to keep his coat looking its best. Our Douglas dog care guide explains how to look after a Douglas plush. He is suitable from 24 months.
